Michigan Child ID Program

Child ID Program

Investing in a Safer World One Child at a Time

Michigan Masons believe that every child deserves to be safe. While countless children fall victim to predators each year, there are steps that parents can take to help prepare for and prevent this horrific tragedy. The Michigan Masons have stepped up to help with one of the most comprehensive child recovery and identification programs in the nation.

The Michigan Child ID Program provides parents and guardians with a “Child ID Packet” that contains all the vital information necessary to expedite law enforcement efforts to locate a missing child. The program also helps to educate families about abduction prevention and safety.

The Packet Includes:

  • A CD which contains the child’s vital information, digital fingerprints, a digital photo and a short interview that captures the child’s voice and mannerisms.
  • A Toothprints® dental impression kit that can provide vital DNA samples and can assist police dogs in tracking missing children (completed at home)

Thanks to our Foundation, this invaluable packet is provided free of charge to the public. Michigan Child ID events are scheduled throughout the year and around the state. To learn more about this program, visit www.michiganchildid.org.

To date, more than 65,000 Michigan children have received an identification packet.
